TLS, [no date] : Old Orchard Beach, Maine, to John Steinbeck.

An amusing letter about the difficulties of writing with children nearby. He sends thanks for "Sea of Cortez" and goes on to say: " ... I hope to wade into the sea no later than tomorrow. With the atomic age around the corner, we may all find ourselves at the bottom of the sea and it will help to know the geograpsus lividus from the clypeaster rotundus ..." He continues to describe Maine in the summer.
